Freelance Media Professional

Referred to as 'Charlie' by his friends, since attending Falmouth University and completing a Masters degree in Television Production in October 2011, Paul has been working as a freelancer in the media industry and volunteering with various projects in his spare time. It is his ambition to work his way up the industry ladder and work on innovative productions.

Paul loves to travel and has been able to visit many countries in his life already. A reliable and responsible employee, he has built a network of industry professionals from every job and they can all vouch for his professionalism and high performance level. Paul continues to build his network across the UK and abroad.

My production experience:

In 2012 I completed the role of 3rd Assistant Director for BBC 2 drama/doc, Murder On The Victorian Railway. I also worked on the new popular documentary series, The Audience on Channel 4 as a Runner/Data Wrangler and Photographer. Both of these productions were for The Garden Productions and I continue to work with the company on productions in the future.

Other employment experience in 2012 includes;

Production Assistant, Office Runner, Researcher, Camera Assistant, Surveillance Operative, Profile Photographer, Teaching Assistant and Soundboard Assistant.

My Stills Photography experience stems from a BA (Hons) degree in Marine and Natural History Photography where I graduated with a 2:1 in 2010. During this time I photographed and filmed wildlife, built and maintained habitats, studied behavioural and ecological aspects of flora and fauna and completed key scientific data analysis. I also have experience in portrait, studio, landscape and fashion photography. I find that my photographic education has given me a valuable ability to work with and understand framing and composition to a high standard. I am also very technical and hands-on with lenses, software, lighting and sound recording, which helps when employed as a camera assistant, self-shooting my own projects, or in a relevant role. I always seek to self-shoot whether in employment or personal projects as I have a huge interest in working with cameras.
