POSH WOOL

Clothes… aiming to accompany us… on our search for those bygone times…

What’s about those clothes? What sets them apart?

Those clothes… they tell us about their journey through time... because it is time…that is living within them!

But…why time has been set up in those clothes?
Because we trust our fabrics with our memories...
How we do that?
Well, we would like to tell you…
People today… with all these objects they purchase…they are aiming to attain cultural identity, sensual experience, emotional meaning…
How else we could generate those values better, than by giving new live to those artefacts of textile manufactory art… to those witnesses dazzled by the glamour of the near and far past…

Clothes… aiming to accompany us… on our search for the luxury of authenticity...because for us that describes the real luxury of our time.

Clothes… aiming to tell us about their journey through time…

Provided we listen to them!

Our 'objets trouvés' -that we discover from archives and storages of traditional European textile manufacturers or hidden traders of Paris flea markets (we are not going to tell you more…)- are luxurious vintage laces & handmade embroideries, both decently tinted in shimmer and tonality, delicate fragile vintage silk fabrics and ribbons mixed with ultrafine wool of varying origins, naturally dyed, combed but unspun.
All this is patched, layered, matted, and washed in olive soap.

This results in very delicate, ephemeral fabric creations for accessories like scarves & stoles, but also clothes, or dense, multi-layered, fascinating, mysterious sparkling materials for special handbags.

Posh Wool has been internationally exhibited & awarded (i.e. world wool award, form), as well as internationally reviewed and featured (i.e. Collezioni Trends, Lark Books’ '500 Felted Objects' & Mary Schoeser’s 'The Art of Mankind').
