Prasanna Bhaskar

Prasanna Bhaskar has been working in Luxury Retail and Marketing for the past 15 years. Ms. Bhaskar has been Regional Director (South East Asia and India) at Ferragamo Hong Kong and was responsible for launching the Ferragamo stores in India. In this office, Prasanna Bhaskar managed the operational retail business and oversaw the brand’s high growth expansion as well as the launch and promotion of the Ferragamo-owned Nautor’s Swan and hospitality business in Florence.

Previously, Prasanna Bhaskar spent five years with the LVMH Group, where she was in charge of launching Louis Vuitton in India (the first luxury brand to enter India) and was later based in Hong Kong as part of a global project team for Louis Vuitton in the Asia Pacific Region. Prasanna Bhaskar was also responsible for business development in LVMH’s selective retail group DFS, leading DFS’s expansion in the Middle East and South East Asia markets.

Prasanna Bhaskar started her career in Advertising and worked with Triple A agencies like DDB Needham, Leo Burnett, and J. Walter Thompson on FMCG brands like Nestle and Smithkline Beecham and was responsible for the launch of consumer durable brand Samsung.

Prasanna Bhaskar is actively involved in Management Development and has taught at HKUST Business School and has been involved in developing the University’s Executive Education business. Ms. Bhaskar has been actively involved in the cause of Breast Cancer awareness and has been acclaimed for involving the Bollywood movie fraternity in supporting the cause of raising funds for Breast Cancer awareness during her stints in LVMH and Ferragamo.
