IT passionate at Santander, Cantabria, a small region in the north of Spain. I got my Telecommunication Engineering degree at 23 at the University of Cantabria, my job as civil servant at 28 at the Government of Cantabria, and my Information Technologies Engineering degree at 37 at the National Distance Education University (UNED). I'm responsible for the area of statistical computing at the statistical office of Cantabria (http://www.icane.es). Here we try to support the life cycle of all the region's statistical data. Regarding this, I colaborate doing some teaching about Semantic Web at the Master studies in Data Science supported by the University of Cantabria, the International University of Menéndez Pelayo and the Superior Council of Scientific Investigations of Spain. In my spare time I play the piano (some Chopin studies, a famous Rachmaninov prelude, some Beethoven...) and grow my own vegetables (being tomatoes the summer guest stars). Also, lately I've been trying to code some small Python projects in Github. I like running and doing HIITs, being moderately interested in fitness and nutrition. I'm an agile software development enthusiast (have taught some courses on that) and, finally, I'm learning how to play the harmonica. The location of the background photo is the beach of Trengandín, in Noja (Cantabria); one of my favourite places around...
