Biography

Pretty “P.K.” Kitty reigns from the heart of the Windy City as a testament to multiple talents. Proviso West High School graduate and mother of two, she has unveiled her aptitude as a musician as a lyricist, songstress and trained percussionist.

In her father’s church is where P.K.’s journey for music began with expansion overtime through education, stage plays and choirs. At the age of 14, she began to rap, originating as “Preacher’s Kid.” P.K. sung in her high school gospel choir P.A.W.S (Proviso Area Worship Singers) and Show Choir (290 West). Outside of educational and religious institutes, she has had the pleasure of singing with Bryant Jones & Chosen.

She was signed to a local Chicago based recording label, DEESO Records. With DEESO, seven mixtapes were created and released – the Str8 Jackin’ compilation – and one album, Album Hostile Takeover. After her time with DEESO Records, she affiliated herself with So Chi Entertainment. P.K. has now signed with Cherry Entertainment Consulting Group (CEcG) as a Recording Artist and also has signed a distribution deal with DPMG International/INgrooves/Universal Music Group as a Featured Artist. In addition to music, P.K. is also involved theatrical entertainment with TSB Production.

Her first solo project, The #BigGurlSwagg Mixtape, was released to the public in late November 2012 with a single promotional music visual to follow. The up coming release of the EP "Lioness", will be available to the public 2015. With the release and development of recent individual projects, she hopes to build a new and well-developed name and image to represent her self, her struggle, and her sound. Since signing with CEcG she has performed at various venues in the Chicago and surrounding areas and has had radio play across the America.
