Project Teddy

Project Teddy began in 2008 as an experiment in giving back to the community. The goal was simple: collect fifty new teddy bears to give to the children on extended stay at Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania. The result? Over six hundred and fifty donated teddy bears.
The project then moved to State College, Pennsylvania, home to THON (thon.org). Build-A-Bear international headquarters heard about Project Teddy and contributed teddy bears for the THON children receiving cancer treatment at Hershey Medical Center and their siblings too!
Now, Project Teddy is moving to the DC-Maryland-Virginia area! Our goal is to serve over 1,000 children and 500 families in the DC area every holiday season.
