I take lots of pictures for myself and others. I am a vegan. I generally am of good spirit.

From 2002 through 2017, I was the Music Coordinator for the Great Lakes Folk Festival in East Lansing, Michigan. I also booked approximately thirty concerts a year for about ten years as a volunteer for the Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse, (also in East Lansing).

I don't know when I came to love taking photographs. I can't claim that I was given a camera as a child (although I have photographic proof that I would commandeer my mom's cameras regularly as a wee lad), but somehow, I was attracted to the notion of creativity. I liked to draw, I liked to write (I still do), and as I began to look at photographs with a more critical eye, I was sucked in to this wondrous and somewhat mysterious art form.

I like to think of my personal photographs (these days, most often recorded with my mobile phone, as well as my film cameras) as a sort of road map of my mind. I also like to think that photographing the people and things I meet and see is my way of honouring their existence.

While my photographic work tends to be less about my vision and more about fulfilling clients' needs, I still try to bring some of that same reverence to each release of the shutter.
