quadrapop makes virtual, digital, graphical, and assemblage art, quad also makes bead based jewellery.
Themes that recur centre around conceptual and abstract responses to the environment, utilising composition, number patterns, and subtle uses of colour .
Currently working on:
- collages using recycled advertising materials,
- drawings involving linear colour relationships,
- photography that captures the essential colours of the Perth Hills, and
- beading projects using fibonacci sequencing.
Virtual digital art by quad can be seen on the SecondLife grid. This utilizes digital photography, 3d computer design and virtual avatars to experience immersive works that extend the exploration of colour, shape and form in a way not possible outside the virtual realm.
The name quadrapop Tree was chosen as a working pseudonym in 1979, and has been used as an online handle since the late 1990s.
