Hailing from the heart of Texas—Austin— Raquel wants to learn everything, likes to get her hands dirty, and is a little obsessed with typography.

She designs and consults for Lucy Kerr's mixed-ability theater productions, including "Being / With Others" and "The Way You Move Your Body," presented at the 2013 Cohen New Works Festival.

She has also completed several content-direction projects, including for the potential documentary series "Growing Routes."

She is interested in architecture and culture, feminism, sustainability, intersectional social justice theory, and lgbt/queer activism.

W R I T I N G

She was elected curator of Structure & Sign, the 2013 Senior Design exhibition at the Visual Arts Center, for which she wrote and co-designed a biographical catalog and in which she showed three projects. She also wrote the descriptions for each project alongside the exhibition concept, name, and text.

Raquel is part of the the Foxing Quarterly team and works with their monthly, Fox Hunting, as well as the Fox Hole pop-up shop. She also assists with various print projects, zines, and more.

She recently completed the design of synonym issue 3: cliffhanger, and is currently working on issue 4: ad hoc.

She specializes in publication design, branding/identity, and visual communication.
