Hi! I’m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at Amherst College in Amherst, MA.

My research focuses on deformation processes within the Earth's deep lithosphere. I am very passionate about scientific outreach, communication, and increasing diversity in the geosciences.

After finishing my PhD at the University of Texas at Austin Jackson School of Geosciences in 2018, I was an institutional postdoctoral fellow at the UCSD Scripps Institution of Oceanography. I have been at Amherst College since 2019.

Pre-PhD: I received my B.S.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University in 2009. After graduation I worked for two years as a field engineer for Schlumberger on oil and gas rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. I then worked for another two years at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Earth Sciences.
