Hello!

I am a recent graduate of American University achieving a degree in Business Administration specializing in Entrepreneurship and Business Development for Social Change. I also completed a minor in Communication and received a certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies.

I love to travel and learn about other cultures. My most recent travel experience was last summer when I took a Marketing Course at London School of Economics. It was an amazing time to explore London right before and during the Olympics. That summer I also traveled to Rwanda along with ten other American University students where we studied healing and justice after genocide. That's me in the photo in the front row listening to a young girl read a story to the class. Through discussions with government leaders, high school & elementary students, victims and perpetrators I learned how education is a key factor to change.

For the past three years I have worked as an intern for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey under the Executive Director. I started as the Development Intern researching and writing grants to now being the founder and director of the first Teen Advisory Council. I created the Council after researching the lack of opportunities in Southern New Jersey for youth to give back to their community. The Council members learn leadership skills through collaborative meetings, planning fundraisers and working with the children at the House. The model of the Council and events we created are now being replicated by Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the United States and Canada. For more information visit my LinkedIn profile.

I recently became an avid runner and will be running my first half marathon this September! One day I hope to be the executive director of a non-profit organization focusing on humanitarian crises, human rights & education or children & health.

Check out the Nicholas Kristof and Good Morning America articles posted at the bottom about my humanitarian efforts starting at twelve years old.
