San Francisco resident Rachel Chimera has lived and worked in Honolulu, Hawaii, and St. Louis, Missouri, as well as in Argentina, Cuba, Spain, and the Netherlands. Her work experience is diverse, and she supports her love of the arts by giving her time as a volunteer. An advocate of nonviolence, Ms. Chimera served as an Assistant to a professor while attending classes at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she worked on an antiviolence project and worked for two hotlines answering calls.

In the past, Rachel Chimera participated in film and television in various capacities, including acting, interviewing, casting, filming, and assistant directing. Her production experiences have made her a discerning viewer. Her favorite shows include Six Feet Under, The Wire, Battlestar Galactica, Pen15, Insecure, Fleabag and Arrested Development. Musically, her tastes are eclectic, ranging from hip-hop and R&B to classic rock and folk. Ms. Chimera frequently attends musical concerts and stand up performances.

In her free time, Rachel Chimera enjoys reading. Her favorite books have included The Color Purple by Alice Walker, Red Azalea by Anchee Min, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, and Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger, everything by David Sedaris. Ms. Chimera practices pilates and dance.
