Rachel Lyon

Brooklyn, NY

Rachel Lyon's fiction has appeared or is upcoming in a number of journals, including The Portland Review, The Baltimore Review, Toad, Hobart, Arts & Letters, The Toast, and Joyland,and has been performed at Liars' League Hong Kong. She has been a fellow at Ledig House International Writers Colony and a scholarship student the New York State Summer Writers Institute. In 2014 a story of Rachel's won Southern Pacific Review's short story contest. Now and then she writes semifictional meditations about strangers for Luna Luna.

Rachel's articles and reviews have appeared in Publishers Weekly, Indiana Review, LitWrap, ArtCritical, and on the NPR member station WFIU. She is the copywriter and content strategist for Velocidi, a digital content marketing agency, and has written copy for many companies, most recently the startup DearKate. This fall Rachel will be teaching a course in fiction for the Sackett Street Writers Workshop.
