I am a SaaS business expert, data visualization practitioner, and security data analyst. I most recently co-founded Loggly, a cloud-based log management company. I have been a long term data analysis and visualization enthusiast and have spent a lot of time building and defining the security visualization space through open source tools, writing books, a number of papers, and speaking at conferences around the world. I am frequently consulting as an industry expert in all aspects of log analysis, computer security, and data visualization.
You might run into me at some hacker conferences at the other end of the world. I frequently present at these places on topics related to data analysis and visualization. Apart from speaking engagements, I voice my opinions about technology fairly openly in various forums.
In my spare time, I surf the California waves and find peace in Zen. I now live in San Francisco after spending my childhood in Switzerland.
