Rajan is an entrepreneur and public servant who gets things done! He's currently pursuing his masters at Harvard and focusing on payment and e-commerce technology, financial regulations, and commercial banking. He previously led business development at an early stage start-up called M-Changa - the first crowd funding and mobile philanthropy company in Kenya. Before living and working in Nairobi, Rajan had the honor and privilege to serve President Obama at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), where he was the “right hand man” to the Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, he helped execute strategic partnerships to incentivize investments and transparency by using an open data catalogue with organizations in the public sector like USAID, State Department, Commerce Department and private sector companies like Palantir, Ernst & Young, and the Corporate Council on Africa.

Rajan's passionate about grassroots engagement and co-founded South Asians for Hillary 2016. He's a proud Virginian and graduated from the College of William and Mary, enjoys scuba diving and skiing (not at the same time!), and teaches Ashtanga Yoga in Cambridge.
