Rashpal Singh Brar

Rashpal Singh Brar is an accomplished electrical power engineer with over 20 years of diverse career experience. Early in his career, Rashpal Singh Brar joined a municipal utility in Southern California as an Associate Electrical Engineer. In that position, his responsibilities entailed supporting utilities crew for maintenance and construction projects, preparing cost estimates and reports, and designing on-site transformer facilities. Rashpal Brar subsequently relocated to a nearby municipal electric utility, where he achieved the position of Senior Electrical Engineer. Responsible for leading engineering activities throughout the course of proposal, design, and construction phases, he notably oversaw the timely completion of an entirely new substation. He also was responsible for managing the electrical department's budgets for the city, monitoring expenses for projects, and negotiating contracts.

In 2005, Mr. Brar transitioned in his career to join a shipyard in Gujrat, India as a Project Manager/Consulting Engineer. Specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical power substations, he managed a number of projects to completion.

Educated at Panjab Engineering College, Rashpal Brar earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1984. An active member of the electrical engineering field, he holds a membership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He is also a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in the state of California.

Rashpal Singh Brar enjoys spending his free time swimming, playing tennis, and watching movies. Active in his local community, he occasionally volunteers at organizations that help the homeless. He is married to a practicing dentist in Southern California and his daughter is currently attending medical school in Pennsylvania.
