Rebecca Monaco

I'm a 24 year old writer, movie fanatic, editor, and romantic. I may be new to the business, but my passion (and a steady supply of foods I probably shouldn't eat) will give me the strength to make a living out of what I love.

• I am an editor.

The only official experience I have with editing is my Spring 2013 Editorial Internship with The Florida Review. However, I edit stories, essays, and even emails for friends and co-workers on a regular basis.

• I am a writer.

I have one self-published novel - The Rose Chateau: A Tale of Beauty Meets Beast. It was chosen by the Tri Sigma book club for their discussion of beauty and kindness at their "This I Believe" 2013 convention.

I won 2nd place in my high school's "Thunder Thoughts" literary magazine poetry writing contest with the poem "Renaissance."

• I am a people person.

I was on a small committee for an after school club at my local library for five years, helping to run contests and movie viewings and organize food and events. I was a very active participant and made many friends there.
