Rebecca Levey

Rebecca Levey has been a writer, entrepreneur and communicator since the day she created her first handwritten newspaper as a way to keep in touch with her cousins across the country, and coerced them into throwing lavish talent shows during the summer (and charging their relatives to attend!) when she was 8 years old.

She is the Queen Bee and co-founder of the recently launched KidzVuz.com. KidzVuz is a community of user-generated videos by and for tweens where they create reviews and comment about the products and media they love. She is the founder and co-host of The Blogging Angels Podcast, a weekly radio show about women in social media and the blogosphere. For the last 4 years she has been a blogger and freelance writer. Her personal blog, Beccarama, is where she writes about parenting, travel, technology, education, and all things NYC. She writes weekly about social media at Mom Blog Magazine as their Social Media Editor. She is also a member of the Yahoo! Mother Board.

Her blog posts have been nationally syndicated through McClatchy/Tribune and in The Washington Post.

Her side passion is education advocacy. As the Co-President of the PTA at her twin daughters’ NYC public elementary school she spends way too many hours trying to bring parents and teachers together and raise money and ideas for the school, without embarrassing her daughters. She recently attended the Mom Congress on Education and Learning as the 2011 New York State delegate and was featured as a Champion of Change by the Obama White House.
