Reda Zine is pluridisciplinary artist ( Filmmaker, musician & producer) born in 1977 in Casablanca who lives actually in Italy. In 1998 he was one of the founders of the biggest independent festival in Africa called L'Boulevard of Casablanca and it's magazine L'Kounache (urban music and street cultures) and in June 2012 also the first opensource community builder in Morocco (www.opentaqafa.cc) . He studied arabic media in Sorbonne, Paris France and script & direction in Cineteca di Bolgona, Italy.
As a musician and producer he founded Cafe Mira collectif in Paris, Produced and lead "Hardonik" band and "Fawda Trio" in Italy where he also teach at Ivan Illich School throuth the workshops "African Symphony for Improvisers", "The mystery of Mister Sun Ra".
He's also lead singer and guitarist of the afrobeat italian band Voodoo Sound Club.
During the last 10 yeats, he'v been performing and teaching between United State (Dickison College, SOB'S) , France (INA, Elysee Montmartre, Radio Libertaire, etc) Sweden (University of Lund - Oriental Studies) , Romania, Italy (Museo Ara Pacis Rai3 TV, RADIO Rai 3, Spring Hill University) , Spain, Tunis, Lebanon (Freemuse), Turkey (House of Music) , Morocco (Bolultek).
He worked with famous band Public Enemy on a documentay about the life of Malik Farrakhan aka Tony King, their Chied Security on Black muslims and "artivism" (Suttvues Prod.) and finishing this film for 2013 ( https://vimeo.com/25350470)
He directed "This is my Story. Or ours?" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6w9mcG5rJ8&feature=plcp)dor Amitie project: 4 documentaries produced for E.U. on (Awareness on MIgration, developmenT and human rIghts through local authoritiEs ) . He's also artistic director of transnational musical project "Sharing the Spring" produced by Creative Commons MENA. He is actually Professor at the Spring Hill College teaching Human Rights Documentaries Script & Direction.
