I've been in IT since 1978 when I went through Data Systems schools in the US Navy. During this time, I have taught from the platform, written code, worked in both Field Service and On-site technician roles, and worked as a security guard for a hard disk drive factory. The last decade and a half I have focused on desktop deployment, security updates, software distribution, and end-user support from a level 3 perspective. My main tools have been Microsoft System Center, Active Directory, and Windows Server.

By Christmas 2012 I weighed 335 pounds and was heading toward Type II diabetes, heart problems and other preventable diseases. January, 2013, at the age of 52, I decided to get in shape. I started at a good gym, researched a variety of eating options, and the Lord led me to an accountibility group. One year later I was 100 pounds lighter, off all obesity related medications, and no longer required a CPAP machine to keep me alive during sleep.

Now I am continuing my fitness journy to my ultimate body composition goal and obstale course racing, triathlons, and ultra distance sports.
