Having just recently completed my first degree in English and Creative Writing from Birmingham City University, I find myself at a cross roads in life where I am now faced with the choice of where to go and what to invest my time in from here.

I am a spoken word artist, song writer, story teller and workshop facilitator. Having lived in Birmingham for the last three years, I have had the privilege of experiencing and being a part of the vibrant and growing Spoken Word scene which is daily challenging what this art form can do and as a poet, this is an exciting time to be around!

My writing whether in poetry, song or fiction holds at the very heart of it the question of freedom--one that I ask myself as often as I can: What are my limitations? How free am I today?

I desire for any person that connects with my work and consequently with me to be able to identify with the heart of this question and to consider it in light of themselves, their experiences, how the past influences the future you or I can have....

Ive come to realise that time is one of those few and far-between things that we have absolutely no choice or control over. It is a currency we have been freely given yet it is limited and cannot be replenished therefore all we can do is spend it. However we spend it is the only thing we can control...

At this stage of my life, I have the privIlege of being able to choose what I do and how I do it, and my desire is to impact the world in This Moment and in This Time through writing, poetry and music, and also through performance art and story telling.

I want to leave a legacy because my existence on this planet has to leave a mark that says I WAS HERE!
