I am complex, but aren't we all? We all have a story to tell. I am a Catholic daughter of the King, a wife to an amazing husband, a mother to two beautiful young women, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a faithful servant. I’ve lived in several places, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maine, New York, Tennessee. I’ve studied at The University of Maine, Penn State University and The University of Pittsburgh. I love to travel (luckily, my husband is an airline pilot) and I’ve visited many places all over the U.S. – I love National Parks – my favorite is Acadia in Maine. I’ve also visited places outside of the U.S. – Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. My favorite place to "stock my pond" is at the ocean. I've lived the crazy busy suburban lifestyle, commuting to and from work, and I now live in Upstate New York on a small piece of land that I would call our own little "farm" and work primarily from home. As a genetic counselor, I spent my career taking care of my patients and helping people navigate through the jungle of human genetics. Now, I work in human genetics research. I am devoted to taking care of my family and raising my children to be caring respectful people. Young people are our future. I love my gardens – flowers and organic vegetables. I have type 1 diabetes due to an autoimmune disorder. I have a flock of hens, a herd of goats, a dog (that needs special care because she has a rare congenital liver condition), a cat and a horse. I love all animals. I love music. Photography is the way that I document life, it helps me notice the beauty in every moment possible. I am a bible journaler and I love Project Life for scrapbooking. Life is beautiful and I am blessed.
