Romain Gaucher

Application security and data analysis geek; Master of frenglish.

I'm the lead security researcher at Coverity. Just a regular geek who breaks applications, writes too much code in C++, Python, or Java, and combines static and dynamic analysis technologies for awesome sauce and fun.

In a previous life, I enjoyed science and tortured unsupervised clustering using optimization meta-heuristics, I also spent some time on automated conjecture generation and proving at GERAD. I contributed to a linear programming modeling library, spent enough time on OpenGL to hate it, and wrote games in assembly M68K.

I enjoy hiking, swearing during golf, torturing my mountain bike, and beer-drinking.
