Teacher and EdTech Instigator in San Francisco, California
Here's just a bit about me. I have been teaching high school science for the past 26 years. I am passionate about educating young minds and sharing with my students the impact that science has on their daily lives.
In 2012, I completed my Masters in Education Media Design and Technology. This degree has launched me on a new path as the Ed Tech Instigator/Lead Learner for our school. My goal is to provide support and encouragement to the faculty and staff at my school as we work to integrate technology in meaningful ways to engage and motivate our students and ourselves.
2015 was an amazing year for me. I was a finalist for the Comcast All Star Teacher Award. I was named Silicon Valley CUE Outstanding Teacher of the year. My school honored me with the Rosalind Crosby Excellence in Teaching Award and I was accepted to the MERIT Program through the Krause Center for Innovation.
I continue to find opportunities to hone my craft and share with others. I have returned to lead programs at the KCI and I earned my Chief Innovation Officer certification in 2019. I am a Google Certified Educator and Geo Teacher. I am an education consultant for zSpace. I have presented at multiple conferences including CUE, SXSW, TCEA, and Google.
When I am not teaching or surfing the web for the latest and greatest tech tools, I am spending time with my husband and two girls.
