Richard Ferraro

Based in Barcelona, Ric is the CMO at Catchoom, the global standard for image recognition from smart devices. Ric was previously at Golden Gekko, Europe's largest developer of business critical mobile solutions. He also co-founded LBS start-up GeoMe in 2008 with veteran mobile entrepreneur Magnus Jern. His career in mobile started at the GSM Association as Mobile Programs Director, chairing the Technology Showcase Committee for the Mobile World Congress and establishing the project with the consortium.

Ric has a successful mobile technology blog since 2008 with over 100,000 readers which is featured in the official Mobile Monday Bloghive and W3C Mobile Web Initiative Blog. He has specific expertise in Location Based /Location-Aware Services, Mobile App Marketing, Social Media, Privacy Management and Mobile Web and App Monetisation Strategies. He holds an MBA from EADA Business School in Barcelona and is a member of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council
