Richard Formato

An experienced business leader, Richard Formato earned his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed the Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of Sales Edge, a national business-to-business sales and merchandising company with headquarters in Wytheville, Virginia. Richard Formato is also an accomplished competitive fly fisherman who holds lifetime membership with Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fisherman. He reaches out to other fishing enthusiasts as a teacher with Industrial Gear and Tackle and the host of the fly fishing radio program Angler Management.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Richard Formato gives back to the communities that support him through contributions to the Boy Scouts and the Wytheville Police Department. He also supports Project Healing Waters, an organization that uses fly fishing to aid in the physical and emotional rehabilitation of military service personnel with disabilities.
