Richie Kratz

New York-based finance executive Richie Kratz serves as Vice President of Emerging Market Sales at HSBC Securities (USA), and has been working at the bank since May of 2005. He holds a variety of responsibilities in this role. He functions as the main contact for mutual, hedge, and pension fund managers that are located in the United States. Richie Kratz sells a diverse range of global fixed-income products, which include sovereign and corporate debt, local market debt, as well as foreign exchange products. In this position, he gained valuable emerging markets experience that continues to serve him to this day.

Prior to serving in these most recent capacities, Richie Kratz functioned as an Operations Specialist at the bank. He served as a liaison between clients in the middle and front office. He also handled foreign exchange trades, where he processed and matched transactions. Mr. Kratz possesses both Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Richie Kratz graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, focusing on finance. During his time at Villanova, he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team. For one year, he held the title of Captain. He also served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 2001 to 2004. His team ranked in the Top 15 in Division I and he was named to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) All-Conference team his senior year. Mr. Kratz was also named an Academic All-American in 2004.

In his spare time, Richie Kratz enjoys traveling and continues to maintain an interest in sports, following both college and professional leagues. Mr. Kratz is also active in philanthropic efforts, contributing to Villanova University's lacrosse team. Last winter, he raised more than $10,000 for Movember, which is a foundation that raises funds and spreads awareness in the fight against prostate cancer.
