Richard Lewelling

I am a Radio Broadcast Meteorologist for The Weather Channel Radio Network in Atlanta,GA. I deliver forecast for cities all over the country and my work can be heard on great stations like WOR-New York, WMAL-Washington, DC, WLS- Chicago, WJR- Detroit, WRNO- New Orleans, KTRH- Houston just to name a few. I have always loved the weather. Living in the Mississippi Delta and the Florida Panhandle, I have had the opportunity to experience everything from ice and snow to hurricanes and tornadoes. I got my start at WZEP Radio in DeFuniak Springs, FL in 1998 and haven't stopped delivering weather since. I also provide technology and web support for storm chasers and storm spotters in the field.

I am a Ham Radio Operator (KG4EFQ) an avid shortwave listener. I love computers and love to sing karaoke. Love dogs and raise German Shepards and Dachshunds. Love the beach and miss it everyday. Love to travel and wish I did it more.

I am married to Teresa Ann Buxton and have been since 1995. I come from a big family 4 brothers and 2 sisters and have lots of nieces and nephews and adopted nieces and nephews.
