Richard Waterfield

A scion of the Indiana-based Waterfield family, Richard Waterfield currently serves as Co-Chairman and CEO of Waterfield Enterprises, a global investment banking, investment management, securities, and consulting firm. The firm's roots date back to 1928, when Mr. Waterfield's grandfather opened up a mortgage company and insurance agency in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Today, Richard Waterfield and his brother, J. Randall, oversee an enterprise that has amassed more than $2 billion in managed assets and operates in more than 50 countries.

A member of MENSA, Mr. Waterfield earned a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College at Columbia University in 1994. In addition to his day-to-day business activities, he frequently serves as a guest speaker for business and nonprofit organizations. In the past, he has spoken to The National Family Business Council, Columbia Business School, and the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. His opinions have been quoted in major media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, the San Francisco Examiner, and American Banker.

A leading entrepreneur, Richard Waterfield serves as a board member of The Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in Orange County, California, and has participated in YPO since 1986. Founded in 1950, YPO comprises more than 11,000 CEOs in some 200 chapters throughout the world. Currently, Mr. Waterfield holds a seat on the board of the YPO chapter in Orange County, California.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Richard Waterfield enjoys politics, golf, history, sailing, travel, and hunting. An avid student of the martial arts, he holds a black belt in karate and studies under Master Steve Ross, a 7th Dan and member of the American National Karate Hall of Fame.
