Rich Fennessy

Former VARBusiness Executive of the Year Rich Fennessy’s latest foray into the technology industry is his newest company Luvit List, LLC, located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Rich Fennessy led the development of Luvit List's latest app entitled Luvit, which is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Luvit is designed as a fun and easy alternative for people to record and share their own memories. It’s all about friends sharing memorable experiences, and enriching each other’s lives in the process. All Luvit items are shared within a member’s Friend Network, so Luvit is personal, trustworthy, and helpful for finding unique items, planning trips, and preserving a lifetime of special moments to enhance the use of already-existing social networks. Co-developed with Lee Ann Fennessy, Rich Fennessy created Luvit List, LLC and its Luvit App in order to better share his own adventures travelling around the world. Prior to introducing and building Luvit List, Rich Fennessy accumulated years of relevant experience, studying Engineering at Michigan State University and forming a career at IBM anchored in various international executive assignments that lasted for 17 years. Working his way up from a series of positions in the company’s sales and marketing departments, Rich Fennessy became the Vice President of Marketing for IBM in 2002, and the General Manager of IBM.com by 2003.

Leading a team of more than 7,000 employees within IBM.com, Rich Fennessy kept several departments operating with optimum efficiency in order to maintain consistent quality through the 350 million customer interactions that occurred annually through IBM's online channel. Rich Fennessy left IBM in 2004 to led Insight Enterprises Inc., a Tempe, Arizona, firm serving the global community’s IT needs through its locations in 22 different countries. For the nearly five years that Rich Fennessy was Insight’s Chief Executive Officer and President, net sales grew from less than $3 billion to almost $5 billion, gross margins increased by 170 basis points, and the company was placed on the Fortune 500 list at #477. After his position at Insight, Rich Fennessy became involved with a number of technological startup companies, including Blue Calypso; eTelemetry, Inc.; PeopleJar, Inc.; and his own Luvit List, LLC.
