I'm a Java & web development software engineer & engineering manager located in Tempe, Arizona. I work for KUBRA providing software to connect utility clients with their customers.

I previously worked for Choice Hotels, Lockheed Martin Corporation, and Rockwell Collins Inc. as a engineer. I'm a 2011 & 2019 graduate of Iowa State University where I studied Computer Engineering and Cyber Security. In 2011, I served as the chairman of the board of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, USA, a student-run space advocacy organization.

I spent two years of college writing and editing popular weekly opinion pieces for the Iowa State Daily, an award-winning college newspaper. The columns can be found on my website, rickhanton.com.

In my free time I manage media (social & traditional) for Yuri's Night, the world space party and spend time with my family.
