The managing director and CEO of Bright Lite Structures (BLS) in San Francisco, California, Rick Holman has a 25-year history in company management and development. He has experience in high-volume manufacturing and product innovation. Since the start of his professional career, Rick Holman has started seven successful companies.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College and later earned two master’s degrees - one in linguistics and philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 1980 and one in finance and management from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1983. In the 1990s and 2000s, he served as an executive for a diverse range of companies. Holman held the position of chief financial officer for several establishments, including broadcasting and digital imaging companies.

In 2013, he became the CEO and managing director of BLS. The company manufactures car parts and materials using advanced carbon fiber technologies. Techniques utilized by BLS are designed to alter carbon fiber composites to make them less costly and easier to produce. Furthermore, Holman expects BLS’ carbon fiber composites products to be lighter and more versatile than traditional composites products.

Outside his professional pursuits, he enjoys leaving San Francisco to travel to other parts of the world, including Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, India, and Southeast Asia.
