Robert Schickel channels his scientific training in biochemistry and cancer into his current work as a management consultant for the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. He currently serves as a Senior Consultant specializing in brand management and commercialization for Campbell Alliance, the premier pharmaceutical and biotech management consulting firm. Dr. Schickel's particular areas of scientific expertise include microRNA regulation; in vivo and in vitro research models; signal transduction; biomedical/life sciences research; and cancer biology, on which he performed his doctoral research. Prior to joining Campbell Alliance, Robert Schickel sharpened his consulting skills as an independent consultant working with biotech and cleantech clients. Representative of Robert Schickel's consulting practice is his work for the launch of a new clean-power generator and seller. Dr. Schickel analyzed industry needs and market trends and located three promising customer groups to whom the client could pitch its services. On behalf of a pharmaceutical startup, Robert Schickel studied the maximum potential sales for a new cancer drug and determined the best approach to capture a major slice of that $5 billion market. Dr. Schickel began his consulting career as a member of The Boston Consulting Group’s health care practice from 2008 to 2010. He guided companies in geriatric health care management, the pharmaceutical industry, long-term care markets, and even the credit card division of a financial services company.
