From 2004-2008 I studied Composition/Arrangement at the Dresden University of Music “Carl Maria von Weber” under Rainer Lischka, Marko Lackner, Lars Juling, Jochen Aldinger and others.
Besides my studies I have been working as composer and orchestrator on several major film projects, including the British comedy SAVE ANGEL HOPE starring Billy Boyd, Bernard Hill and others. Most recently, I have co-composed and orchestrated the score for the movie RECYCLING LILY.
Apart from my work for film, I’m also working in the field of game music, mainly as orchestrator for Germany’s biggest game music company Dynamedion for which I have orchestrated major game titles such as BLACK PROPHECY, HALO LEGENDS, PIXAR’S KINECT RUSH and ANNO 1404.
In 2009, colleague Moritz Schneider and me were commissioned to write the music for the musical DÄLLEBACH KARI. The show won four “Goldene ImScheinwerfer” (including best Musical) as well as two Prix Walo (including best Musical/Theatre Production).
I’m also writing concert music on a quite regular basis. In 2010 I got commissioned to write a violin concerto for Anna Karkowska and the London Symphony Orchestra which has been recorded in July 2010 at Abbey Road Studios in London.
I have been working with tenor Russell Watson, orchestrating music for his Singapore/UK Tour 2011 and violinist Sarah Chang, arranging and orchestrating music for her tour programme.
Most recently I have written the overture for the 2012 Händelfestspiele in Halle/Saale.
In 2010/2011 I wrote orchestrations for a highly successful crossover event-concert series by the Rock Band LOVEBUGS and the Basel Symphony Orchestra and also co-orchestrated a show of soul singer Seven with the 21st Century Orchestra in the same year.
My work also includes composition and orchestration for international commercial campaigns. By order of Song Zu Sydney, I have written the music for the INTO THE WOODS commercial campaign by John West Australia.
For the Europäische Filmphilharmonie, I regularly orchestrate and arrange film music including THE LORD OF THE RINGS, LOVE STORY and most recently DEATH ON NILE.
