Rodd Sala

Barrington Illinois

Since his first glimpse of a neighbor’s Rolls-Royce as a child, Rodd Sala’s passion for the marque was firmly established. Rodd Sala turned his lifelong hobby into a lucrative business when he opened Park Ward Motors and the Park Ward Museum, where he collects, sells, and repairs both Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motors cars. Through the years, Rodd Sala has acted as “caretaker” for more than 400 of these cars, and at his business, he provides restoration and maintenance services to owners. Rodd Sala possesses particular expertise in the Shadow and Spirit series, and he was once the largest private collector of Rolls-Royces in Australia. He classifies himself as a collector first and a buyer/seller second, and he incorporated his business in Australia in 1982. Rodd Sala established the American division in 2006, with headquarters in Illinois, where he currently resides. Before Rodd Sala embarked on his automobile endeavor, he served a number of Australian firms and gained invaluable experience in the business world. In 1982, he co-founded Ran Data Corporation Limited in Perth, where he acted as Director and General Manager until 1989. His next professional venture took him to Ensal Pty Ltd, also in Perth. He founded the business in 1982 and still acts as Managing Director and major shareholder. At Ensal, Rodd Sala manages day-to-day operations for the investment company. He has taken two successful start-ups to initial public offerings (IPOs) that netted 100 times the initial capital investment. In addition, he has conducted share trading, small business short-term financing, and mezzanine and venture capital financing projects. Rodd Sala founded Lumacom Limited in 1999 and served as Chief Executive Officer. In that role, he facilitated an increase from $20 million to $100 million in market capitalization and developed ideas from the laboratory to the market. In addition, he determined the company strategy for growth and managed a marketing team as well as representatives in the UK and throughout Europe. His other significant contributions included handling all aspects of the company’s public relations and presenting the annual and general meetings for shareholders. Rodd Sala traveled extensively in this position and became well versed in presenting corporate and marketing campaigns in the United States, Asia, Australia, and Europe. He managed the IPO for his company, as well as its Australian Stock Exchange listing.
