Rodney was born and raised in Huntsville, AL, and moved to New York City in 2003 to pursue a new way of life in the food business. Not sure exactly how or what he was going to do but knowing how much he loved the culture around food, he enrolled in Culinary School. After graduating with honors from Manhattan’s Institute of Culinary Education, he spent a few years cooking in upscale Manhattan restaurants and writing about food. Thereafter, he embarked on a career in photography. Developing this new business allowed him to combine his love of food with his other passion—photography. By integrating events and portraiture into his photography business, Rodney has developed a career around great people enjoying good food in beautiful settings. His photography business fulfills a need to be creative and allows him to fully express who he really is.
