I'm Rodney, a proud father and very lucky husband.

Born in England, I relocated to Australia and now live in British Columbia, Canada. You'll often find me on the water and in the mountains.

My career has been shaped by a diverse background that spans environmental law, asset management, travel, communication and technology. I'm lucky to have gathered extensive international experience, leading teams to work across many cultures. I've consistently seen that the right mix of creativity and focus can empower people to do incredible work.

I graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor Law (Hons.) with postgrad studies in environmental and international law on scholarship at University of Oregon.

Early in my career, I was trusted to lead investor relations to establish one of the pioneering all-ETF portfolio management companies in the USA. As first-hire, I took an active role in growing the portfolio to over $200 million assets under management.

I've founded and led a number of startups, most recently focused on business intelligence at Tourism Sentiment Index.

I have always believed travel can be transformative, and that the travel experience can help to make the world a better place. I've spent 10+ years of my career as founder and CEO of Destination Think, where I get to lead a wonderful team that has advised hundreds of public sector organizations around the world on innovation, communication and strategy. We've worked with Innovation Norway, European Travel Commission, New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Visit California, Tourism & Events Queensland, Destination British Colombia and so many more. Our team is behind some of the most progressive work in sustainable tourism, with leaders like Wonderful Copenhagen, Palau Visitor Authority and Bay of Plenty.

I've grown deeply concerned by the momentum in both earth and human systems that is threatening runaway climate destabilization and biosphere collapse. After searching for the longest possible lever, I joined CDL West Climate as Founding Partner, and AirMiners as Strategy Director to accelerate the innovations that will be needed to tackle humanity's most imminent and existential challenge.

I hope we can leave behind a world that my daughter and generations to come will be proud of. I am dedicated to mentoring founders and supporting companies that will have massive impact, positively transforming society and preserving a well-functioning earth system.
