Having lived in India, New Jersey, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, I've already moved more times before my college years than typical people move in their lifetime. The best part about having moved so much is the number of different people I've met and all the expereinces that I've had already. My interests in technology and marketing has grown over the years leading me to double major in Business Information Technology and Marketing at Virginia Tech. I've used my skills in technology and marketing to help me win 1st place with my friend in the Men's Wearhouse Prom Rep Challenge beating more than 60,000 other participants and taking home a grand prize worth $55,000. It has also resulted in the creation of the website, DealsOnTux.com. It is a website I created to help people to save money but still look stylish with deals on tuxedos. So what else am I involved in? Well I'm in the analyst team for an organization called PRISM (Pamplin Re-inventing Social Media) which handles the social media profiles for Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business. I'm also part of the IT team for Business Horizons, a business career fair at Virginia Tech. I also do some freelance website design and social media/marketing consulting. Since June of 2013, I have been a Marketing Intern with the Hadoop and Cloud Security team at Intel.
