Roman Pachulski

Since graduating from medical school in 1983, Roman T. Pachulski, MD, has worked as a cardiac specialist and educator of other physicians. Roman Pachulski, MD, currently practices as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at South Texas Heartbeat, PA. Dr. Pachulski has also practiced and taught in New York, North Carolina, California, and Ottawa. His contributions to the field extend beyond the classroom and the clinic: Roman Pachulski, MD, has written four books on medical topics (including psychiatry, internal medicine, and obstetrics) and is frequently invited to guest lecture at medical conferences. After earning his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1983, Roman Pachulski, MD, served as an intern at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He then completed two residencies at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa Civic Hospital, followed by a two-year cardiology fellowship (1988 to 1990) at the university’s Heart Institute. In 1991, Roman Pachulski, MD, relocated to Pennsylvania, where he held a one-year fellowship in electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then crossed the U.S. to work at the University of California, Davis, from 1992 to 1993. Dr. Pachulski directed the arrhythmia services and electrophysiology labs at Davis and taught as an assistant professor of medicine. For most of the mid-1990s, Roman Pachulski, MD, taught medical students at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, serving as both an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a volunteer faculty member. In 1998, Dr. Pachulski left Chapel Hill to join the faculty of Stony Brook University as Associate Chief of Cardiology for Education, Director of Arrhythmia Services and Electrophysiology Lab, and Assistant Professor of Medicine. Before moving to Texas in 2004, he held clinical and instructional positions at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Dr. Pachulski found his niche early in his career and has received recognition for his efforts both teaching and practicing. During his tenure at Stony Brook, Roman Pachulski, MD, earned awards for being a master teacher and mentor (2003), an outstanding teacher (1999), and for demonstrating excellence in teaching (2001). He is fluent in English, Polish, and French, and he currently lives in San Antonio, Texas.
