Ronald Durando
Ronald Durando, the co-founder of mPhase Technologies, Inc., began working in the field of electronics manufacturing while in high school. Through a job at an electronics manufacturing company, Ronald Durando gained hands-on manufacturing experience.
By the age of 22, Ronald Durando headed the company's electromechanical design department. Durando decided to change careers in 1982, and at the age of 25, he became a stockbroker. To facilitate the transition, he took and passed the Series 7 exam that licensed him as a stockbroker, Durando received assistance and guidance from Pop Weller, one of the first door-to-door mutual funds salesmen. He soon specialized in the retail stock brokerage sector, and at age 29, he ran his own brokerage firm.
In 1994, Ronald Durando closed the firm in order to accept the position of COO at a company that supplies components and integrated assemblies to the military electronic defense industry. Under his leadership, the company doubled its revenue through diversification. He went on to co-found mPhase Technologies in October of 1996, and he has since held the positions of President, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and CEO. His current role at the publicly traded company involves commercializing a nanotechnology-based battery with a long shelf life.
