Ronald Heromin MD

In 1973, Dr. Ronald Heromin began studying biology at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. As a student, he wrote his first article, a study of cell movement in myxobacteria, which eventually appeared in the Journal of Cell Science. After graduating cum laude with his Bachelor’s degree in 1977, Dr. Heromin began working toward his Doctor of Medicine, enrolling at Penn State Hershey College of Medicine. With a passion for sports medicine and pain rehabilitation, Ronald J. Heromin, MD, focused his studies on orthopedic surgery. In 1981, he gave a presentation on rheumatoid arthritis at a staff conference for the University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. One year later, Dr. Heromin graduated with his medical degree. Moving to Florida, he continued to study orthopedic surgery by enrolling at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After studying general surgery for a year, Dr. Heromin accepted a residency in the school’s Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.
After Dr. Heromin completed his residency in 1987, he began working as an orthopedic surgeon at the Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Florida. In addition to his surgical duties, Dr. Heromin gave speaking engagements on a wide array of topics, such as arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, total joint replacements, osteoporosis, and post-operation care methods. In 1991, Ronald Heromin, MD, became the Vice Chairman of Englewood Community Hospital’s Department of Surgery. He received a promotion to the position of Chairman only one year later. In 2001, Dr. Heromin also became the Chairman of the Surgical Care Review Board. In 2007, he left Englewood to move to Lexington, Tennessee, where he accepted surgical positions at both Henderson County Community Hospital and the Orthopaedic Center of Henderson County, PC.
Currently, Dr. Heromin resides in Miami and serves as President of St. Mary’s Medical Institute in Hialeah. Dr. Heromin practices regenerative medicine with autologous stem cells for a multitude of musculoskeletal pathology, including painful feet, knees, back, neck, elbows, and shoulders.
