I was born, raised and schooled in Pretoria, South Africa, matriculating from Pretoria Boys High School (PBHS) in 1987. I was then a very bad example of an AFS exchange student to Liège, Belgium in 1988/89, returned to S.A. to complete two years of military service in the Air Force and then spent a few years at the University of Pretoria pretending to study.

I have worked with Outward Bound in experiential education, with organisations reintegrating young offenders into society, have run my own company, served as a sub editor on a daily newspaper, worked for Nikon in South Africa on social responsibility projects, and travelled the world serving various churches.

I now find myself in a small town in British Columbia, Canada, helping out in a local church.
