Rosaly Escueta

Welcome to my blog and welcome to my world! I think you need to know me better. There is a story about that person behind my blog banner. My name is Rosaly Escueta. I am raised and educated in the beautiful tropicals of the Philippine Islands. In that paradise I got my brown skin. I was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications major in Broadcasting as a scholar at West Visayas State University, Iloilo City of 2001. Once an Editor-In-Chief of my high school newspaper and an editorial staff of my college newspaper. I am professionally trained in Journalism since I started writing at the age of 14 years old and won several prestigious writing and English speaking contests in my homeland. But I did not stopped there, I worked for a national radio station and newspaper in my country, wrote for a Hong Kong based-newspaper and became an Account Executive on credit cards for an international bank. Nevertheless, I still feel the need to travel the world so I joined my husband who is a resident of Milan. Milan changed my perspective in life. I got inspired with my new environment. I fell in love with fashion. To feed my fashion cravings, I let the crème de la crème of the Istituto Europeo di Design to hone my creative side by finishing a Shoe Collection Course, wherein I designed my own shoe collection to pass my thesis. I am a dream catcher. Since, I was young I always wanted to be a Journalist. I think I was born to be it – my mother told me that the first time I came out of her womb she wrapped a newspaper and a dictionary with a pen in it and put it under my pillow. I realized it’s not too late to realized that dream again when I met in person the former French Vogue Editor, Carine Roitfeld during her book signing here in Milan. I would never forget what she wrote on that book, “If fashion is passion, go for it!” From that iconic encounter, I feel the need to write again and continue my unfinished dream to write – that’s why I started a blog. I want to express myself . . . and I just found that brand new freedom, the freedom of expression – the freedom of FASHION!
