Rosanne Foust

A Redwood City, California, council member since 2003, Rosanne Foust served as mayor of the city from 2007 to 2009. She led development of a number of key strategic programs and made integral contributions to the committee that launched a $50 million civic redevelopment initiative. She also engaged with the city government in developing a new general plan to guide the next two decades of civic growth. In addition to representing south county cities on the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for the past eight years, Rosanne Foust serves as president and CEO of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA). The South Bay’s oldest business organization, SAMCEDA has promoted business infrastructure development and community engagement since 1953. Recent accomplishments include protecting the county’s Hetch Hetchy Reservoir water supply and promoting high-speed rail and the electrification of Caltrain in the region.

Ms. Foust completed her bachelor’s degree in international studies at Stonehill College. She subsequently pursued graduate studies in public administration with an emphasis in business at Notre Dame de Namur University. In May 2013, Rosanne Foust became the first recipient of Notre Dame de Namur's Alumna of Distinction Award.
