Prior to Startup Foundry, Ross co-founded crowdSPRING – the world’s #1 marketplace for crowdsourced graphic design, industrial design and copywriting. Over 164,000 designers and writers from nearly every country on Earth work on crowdSPRING.

crowdSPRING has won many national and international awards, including WIRED Magazine’s Small Biz of the Year and a Stevie Award for Best Product/Service.

Ross mentors entrepreneurs through Techstars and Founder Institute and was honored in 2011 and 2012 as one of Techweek100′s top technology leaders and business visionaries.

Prior to crowdSPRING, for 13 years as a successful attorney, Ross counseled and represented clients (from small internet startups to Fortune 100 companies) in complex disputes involving intellectual property in United States state and federal courts and before the World Intellectual Property Organization. Ross was named one of “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch” for intellectual property and complex commercial litigation.

Ross grew up in Kiev Ukraine, emigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1979, and now lives near Chicago.
