I'm a Business English trainer and consultant at Interlingua, where I also teach Cross-cultural communication. We are now working together with Language Partners, which won a Best School award in 2015.

My specialties include financial and advisory services and I develop programmes which focus on integrating recent theory and practice in ELT.

I'm an international speaker but also give regular workshops in the NL. Recent workshops cover strategic learning, reflective teaching, innovation and creativity. I also give teacher training workshops on grammar and speaking.

Currently I'm heading the IATEFL BESIG Editorial Team, which publishes ebooks on Business English. I'm also executive member of the IATEFL Publications Committee.

I studied modern languages at the Unversity of Aberdeen and the University of Amsterdam. My professional work is mainly in English and Dutch, but I can work in French and Italian.

Despite a lack of proficiency I also hugely enjoy using other languages like German and Spanish.
