A high school teacher since 1987. I've been primarily taught Economics and US Government. After more than 25 years in the classroom I believe that there are few careers that are more rewarding. Today public education faces challenges from so called reformers, privatizers and profiteers from both sides of the political spectrum. The economic downturn has affected public schools and future generations disproportionately. As a teacher, I must be role model for my students and an advocate for public education in the community and the public arena. It's the only way to fulfill the promise of public education for future generations.
