I'm the Web and Social Media Director for the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, working to increase the engagement and online presence of TranBC and DriveBC, I serve as a communications consultant through my company Communications Kitchen and host CinemaSpiel, a movie discussion podcast.
My love for engaging with people and PR began in promotions, public relations and branding as a radio announcer and producer, where I built relationships with listeners and increased brand awareness for the station and advertisers. Since then, I contract consulted as a social media and public relations strategist for The Weather Network and served as the communications manager and first social media strategist for the B.C. Government Caucus. I currently consult for organizations and small business and have had the pleasure to be invited to speak on social media, branding and communications at various events and in classrooms.
Additionally, I write and administrate The Upsell, a blog on customer service (Top100 of Customer Service Pros on Twitter - Huffington Post, Top20 of the CustomerService100- Call Centre UK, Top 15 Most Influential Customer Service Experts To Follow on Twitter) and a blog on life connectivity called Why We Connect. I've also guest blogged for Sprout Social: Insights and LifeHack.org and formerly co-hosted a YouTube show on engagement called
