I am a Certified Natural Health Consultant through the Alternative Medicine College of Canada (AMCC) and hold a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition at Cornell University/T. Colin Campbell Foundation. I am also a certified Sivananda Yoga Instructor specializing in Yoga for Osteoporosis and Stress management. The yoga certifications have been obtain from Sivananda Yoga Ashram Retreat Bahamas. These studies in addition to my 35 years of vegetarian cooking and passion for Health, Nutrition and Wellness have shaped my focus in supporting individuals create long lasting health that enriches their lives. Born in Rome/Italy of German parents, I have lived half of my life in Europe and the other in the Caribbean. This eclectic fusion of the historical continent and the balmy tropics has always inspired me to create magic in the kitchen. Combining these experiences with my passion for health led to the creation of my Vegan/Vegetarian and Plant based cooking courses. These Vegan/Vegetarian and Plant based cooking classes empower persons who want to learn how best to feed their body through hands on, step by step support in the kitchen and overall wellness coaching . Over the years, through personal health challenges and that of close family members, it became apparent that taking charge of your health could only be achieved through proper nutrition (based on bio-individuality) and exercise combined with a positive outlook on life. I had been a Vegetarian for approximately 30 years before becoming mainly Plant-based in 2011. As a Vegetarian I had eliminated red meat many years before that, but ate fish and dairy, and now as a Vegan I mistly consume a Plant-based diet consisting of greens, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts and legumes. Since making these final steps, I have come closer to my weight of the 20's, reduced stress, increased energy and found emotional peace. Using social media as a way to bring more information to the global community, I have created 1 Facebook page "Vegan Bahamas" On this page you will find posts with information on vegan food choices, vegan recipes and tidbits promoting a healthy lifestyle. It is my desire to share my knowledge and work with those who wish to improve their lives and live a happier, healthier, more improved quality of life.
