Ryan Batty

Edmonton, AB

A graduate from the University of Alberta, I now spend most of my time during the week working as a Transportation Engineer designing roads, improving intersections, and trying to convince people that roundabouts are a good idea. I also work on making our transportation networks sustainable by focusing on not just moving cars from A to B but making sure pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users are considered as well. My interest in transportation eventually led to the launch of All Roads Lead to Ryan; a blog that focuses on all things transportation related that capture my attention.

Transportation is just my day job - and a bit of a hobby - though. And while it keeps me busy I still find the time to moonlight as a beer enthusiast searching Edmonton's downtown bars and pubs for the best available pint. I'm also a huge sports fan, so much so that I started putting my thoughts on paper, as much as that's really possible on the internet, as the Managing Editor of the Oilers blog, the Copper & Blue.
